Review: Volition Beauty Prismatic Luminizing Shield SPF 50

Hello and welcome back! As promised, I'm daily blogging, so today, I've got another review for you, this time on the Volition Beauty Prismatic Luminizing Shield SPF 50. Without further ado, let's jump into the details! Q: Where can I buy it? A: Sephora stores, Sephora.com, volitionbeauty.com Q: How much does it cost? A: $35 USD Q: Will it suit my skin? A: If you have oily/combo, acne prone, sensitive skin and you find that all the sunscreens you've tried in the past have irritated your skin or broken you out, then this is definitely a game changer for you! Q: Is the scent going to give me a headache? A: It shouldn't. It has a very slight sunscreen/powdery, fresh scent upon application, but it doesn't linger and dissipates quickly. Q: How do I use it? A: Shake it slightly, and then squeeze out about a quarter sized amount onto your fingers and spread evenly along your face and neck. Q: When do I use it? A: As the last...

How To: Get An Internship | 3 Easy Tips

Hello and Happy Sunday! Today's post is going to be something a bit different, as it isn't going to be anything to do with beauty, but a post to help out my fellow university students who are on the lookout for their first internship. If you're looking to get your very first internship, the idea can be extremely daunting. I was overwhelmed and had absolutely no idea where to start, when to start looking, and how to get noticed enough for an interview with a company. So, today, I'm here to hopefully give you 3 simple tips that you can do right now to put you one step closer to getting your first internship. As I've only had experience with the Engineering side of internship opportunities, I can only discuss that. I'm not too sure how other majors go through the internship process. Tip # 1: Attend Career Fairs If your school offers a career fair, get dressed up in your nice, fancy business clothes, and get ready to shake hands! I cannot stress this tip enoug...

Do They Work: Urban Decay Setting Sprays

Hi everyone; I hope you're all doing well. I'm back today with a review of the Urban Decay All Nighter and De-Slick setting sprays. As someone with extremely oily skin, I'm used to my makeup getting greasy and sliding around in a few hours. The caveat with me though, is that I don't like to use setting powders. I have acne, and I've found that lots of setting powers would break me out because there's too much silica or talc in them. One example is the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder which I've done a review on  here . Thus, I turned to setting sprays in the hopes that it'll cure my oily skin woes. Ulta was having the Urban Decay setting sprays for 40% off for one day only during the holidays so I picked up De-Slick and All Nighter to try out. Here are my thoughts: De-Slick:  This one is aimed for oily skin and claims to control oil and keep the skin matte. Here are the claims on the back of the box: I'm sad to say that this d...

2016 Makeup Favorites Round-Up

Hello everyone; I hope you're all doing well and are having a wonderful New Year!! One of my top resolutions for 2017 is to be more consistent with blogging because I do love everything about beauty and I want to share all the new products, tips, and tricks with every single one of you. For anyone new, I'm so happy to have you here and thanks so much for joining in on my beauty obsession. Now, onto the actual post. 2016 was a good year filled with so many challenges, especially this past semester at college. That being said, I still found time to discover some amazing products that will stay with me this year. Let's jump right in! Face: bareMinerals Complexion Rescue: This is marketed and described as a BB, CC and tinted moisturizer rolled into one product. I would say that this feels more like a tinted moisturizer than anything else to me. This gives sheer to light coverage and looks extremely smooth and natural on the skin. Having oily skin, this does give me q...

Summer Base Essentials

Hey everyone; I hope you're all doing well. As promised, I'm doing another post and today, I'm going to share with you all my summer foundation essentials. 1. Sunscreen: The best sunscreen that I have found is this CoTz Face sunscreen for lighter skin tones. It's a great primer that absorbs oil and protects your skin at the same time. This is a mineral sunscreen, meaning that the main ingredients consist of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. You can find this  here  for $19.99. I'll be doing an in-depth review on this sunscreen in a later post. 2. Foundation: The foundation that I have been wearing everyday this summer is the Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. I have this in the shade Fiji and Gobi. With this foundation, I don't even need a concealer because it has such great coverage. Since it's summer right now and I do have a bit of color, I'm using Fiji by itself. I will also be doing an in-depth review on this foundation in a post c...
